We’ve built many of Akron’s best decks! Whether it’s a simple deck you want, a multi-level deck, or an elevated deck over a patio, we are the Akron deck builder to call. On the other hand, if your deck needs repairs, we recommend you call a true handyman, someone more geared to handle that scope of work.
As part of the Outdoor Living Brands franchise system, Archadeck of Akron has a team of architectural draftsmen at our disposal. They produce 3-D renderings so we can help you visualize what your new outdoor living project is going to look like. They produce the technical drawings we need when we apply for building permits at your local building department. We also have engineers we can consult when necessary. Smaller, independent builders and those who specialize in repairs don’t have access to these kinds of resources. You could say we play in two different leagues.
We’ve had people call to ask if we can build new stairs for an existing deck. We can, but we don’t – unless we are designing and building the entire deck, too. There are plenty of carpenters available who would love to come out and build those new stairs for your deck. Jobs like that are their bread and butter. But not ours.
You may wonder why we do redecking if we don’t do repairs. The work involved in redecking is extensive enough that it’s not considered a repair, it is considered a deck makeover. For example, when you need to hire a pet sitter or dog walker, you wouldn’t expect your veterinarian to take the job. Although they would certainly be qualified and capable!
