Another one of Archadeck of Austin’s custom outdoor living projects has won an Archadeck Design Excellence Award! This winning project is a fabulous pavilion and deck combination in Georgetown TX on the San Gabriel River. It is a thrill to have our work recognized again by the Archadeck system. Each quarter, and annually, Archadeck locations in the U.S. and Canada compete for Design Excellence Awards. That is a lot of competition!

From its open-rafter ceiling of Western Red Cedar to its white limestone outdoor fireplace, this detached pavilion delivered everything our clients wanted. We designed beautiful stone bench seating beside the fireplace and, at the other end of the pavilion, a spacious outdoor kitchen for use as a bar. We added an AZEK low-maintenance deck, a flagstone walkway to the river and plenty of subtle lighting for nighttime entertaining.

Adding another level of recognition for us is Austin Construction News, which featured this same project in their August 2021 issue. Just scroll through to page 17 for the feature entitled “Georgetown Pavilion.” Construction News is a monthly publication geared specifically to the local construction industry. One Award-Winning Design Leads to Another!
A fun fact about this special Georgetown pavilion and deck combination: we actually patterned it after another project that also won a Design Excellence Award! Our Georgetown client saw photos of an elegant pavilion we had designed and built in Davenport Ranch in West Austin. The new clients wanted a similar pavilion and asked if we could build it for them. We did, with plenty of customization specific to the new clients’ setting. And now we have won a Design Excellence Award for the Georgetown project, too.
