This week all eyes will be on Alpine Skiing sensation Mikaela Shiffrin at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
The biggest star in ski racing today is back for her third Winter Olympics at just 26 years old, and looking to become the most decorated American Alpine skier in history. There is also a similar buzz surrounding Snowboard Halfpipe rockstar Shaun White, now 35 years old and in his fifth Olympic appearance.

The Archadeck of Austin Team took home the 2022 Grand Prize Design Excellence Award, the outdoor living design Gold Medal equivalent, for his team’s pavilion and deck combination in Georgetown, TX.
Featured a few months ago in Construction News, this backyard masterpiece is located on the San Gabriel River.
This spectacular pavilion, which takes the art of covered porch design to the next level, stretched out into a deck overlooking the river.
From its open-rafter ceiling of Western Red Cedar to its white limestone outdoor fireplace, this stand-alone pavilion delivered everything our clients wanted.
Notice the beautiful stone bench seating beside the fireplace and, at the other end of the pavilion, a spacious outdoor kitchen for use as a bar.
As for the river overlook, we added an AZEK low-maintenance deck, a flagstone walkway to the river and plenty of subtle lighting for nighttime entertaining.
