Nothing Says, “Welcome To Our Beautiful Great Hills Home In NW Austin” Like A Brand New Front Entry Deck
A home this classically beautiful deserves the very finest WUI-compliant front deck entrance, and that is just what our expert deck building team accomplished.
Intentionally handcrafted to be low maintenance, our deck used AZEK TimberTech Advanced PVC decking material from their Vintage Collection in the Coastline color.
For lovers of exotic hardwoods, the Vintage Collection by TimberTech delivers the sought-after look of premium hardwoods such as Ipe, Mahogany, and Teak, without the rigorous maintenance of wood. As AZEK always says of its TimberTech low maintenance decking line, “It’s everything wood should be.”
This acclaimed capped polymer decking features proprietary materials technology that delivers sophisticated, real wood aesthetics you’ll never have to sand, stain, or seal.
Other colors in the TimberTech Vintage Collection include Weathered Teak, Cypress, Dark Hickory, English Walnut and Mahogany.
This front entry deck is complemented with the safety and convenience features of vertical aluminum railing and NUCOR riser lighting for nighttime guidance illumination.
What Is So Special About The Vintage Collection From AZEK TimberTech?
In a word, PLENTY.
SUPER DURABLE: Made of high-performance and recycled polymers (and absolutely no wood fibers), TimberTech Advanced PVC decking is highly resistant to moisture damage like mold and mildew, and it won’t splinter, crack, cup, peel, or rot.
LOW MAINTENANCE: Never sand, stain, or seal your deck ever again. An occasional brush and rinse are all that’s needed.
FADE & STAIN RESISTANT: Enjoy a richly hued deck for decades with protective capping that resists UV rays and staining.
SPLINTER FREE & BAREFOOT FRIENDLY: Better for bare feet and paws, TimberTech Advanced PVC decking won’t splinter, and stays up to 30° cooler to the touch with 40% better traction, wet or dry, than competitive products.
INDUSTRY-LEADING WARRANTIES: Rest easy knowing your investment is protected with a 50-Year Fade & Stain Limited Warranty and Limited Lifetime Product Warranty.
SUSTAINABLE: Made in the USA from approximately 60% recycled material, including post-construction scrap like vinyl siding and trim, TimberTech Advanced PVC decking is a sustainable option. Plus, it’s fully recyclable at the end of its useful life.
DESIGN VERSATILITY: With multi-width decking and heat-bending capabilities, TimberTech Advanced PVC Decking allows you to create a truly unique design that shows off your sense of style. Another reason why our professional deck team recommends it.
TOP-RATED FIRE RESISTANCE: Since this deck is within the WUI area, the Vintage Collection by AZEK TimberTech is the better decing material choice for fire zones. It boasts an Ignition Resistant designation and a best-in-class flame spread rating – Class A – which means it burns at a slower rate and is unlikely to contribute to aggressive flame spread. That’s something traditional wood and composite decking can’t claim.
One Awesome Deck Deserves Another, So Welcome To The Backyard Deck
Replacing a backyard deck that had seen better days was a delight for our expert deck building NW Austin team. With WUI compliance and long term durability in mind, this backyard deck foundation is all stone – White Limestone, in fact, with touches of Nicotine.
Our reasoning for using the Limestone was that this mode of construction for added fire protection.
As the ground has more than a 10-degree slope, to prevent a fire on the grass from possibly spreading to the new deck, our stone foundation would be the perfect prevention from fire affecting the skirting on the deck.
As the new deck skirting, the vertical slats are also WUI compliant.
For further safety measures, the backyard deck consists of screen material on the bottom (underneath) of both the upper and lower deck sections to keep any debris from falling and catching fire. As for the posts for the second story deck, they are also WUI compliant.
