5 Reasons to Choose an Archadeck of Austin Outdoor Kitchen
Great for entertaining
A top benefit of having an Archadeck of Austin outdoor kitchen is they
create a perfect space for outdoor entertaining. Just like the old saying
the kitchen is the heart of the home goes, the same can be said of outdoor kitchens. When food is prepared
outdoors, guests can gather around and socialize as dinner is being prepared.
It might get crowded in an indoor kitchen when everyone hangs out with
the cook, but in outdoor kitchen environment, there’s much more
space to mingle.
Expands your outdoor living space
If you are planning a covered patio or porch addition an outdoor kitchen
is the perfect ingredient to complete your outdoor living recipe! Archadeck
can design a space that is as simple or luxurious as your taste and budget
dictates — from compact to expansive — the world is your oyster
when it comes to the combinations and amenities available.
Can save $ on utility bills
When you’re cooking outside during the humid Texas summer, your air
conditioner won’t have to work overtime to keep your house cool.
When you bake, fry, roast, and broil foods in your indoor-kitchen, the
temperature in your house rises several degrees, which kicks your A/C
into overdrive. When you cook outdoors, you will save on energy consumption.
Low-maintenance
Since many of the outdoor kitchens we design and build for Austin-area
homeowners are part of a covered outdoor living space, they incur very
little exposure to the elements.
Additionally, many of the materials we use within our custom outdoor living
spaces are considered low-maintenance; these include natural stone, pavers,
hardwoods and synthetics, all of which are a breeze to maintain. Most
of today’s BBQ grills and other outdoor kitchen appliances are made
from stainless steel, which makes them not only able to handle the changing
seasonal temperatures but also desirable because they are easy to clean.
When you have am Austin outdoor kitchen, you have a low-maintenance, high-impact
investment you can use and enjoy for many years to come.
Keep cooking odors at bay
Let’s face it, some foods smell delicious while they’re being
prepared, while others are less desirable. When you cook foods such as
fish or deep-fried items, the aroma can linger for days and is hard to
eradicate from within the home. When you prepare those same menu items
outside, they dissipate quickly into the great outdoors and do not penetrate
your home’s interior.
Save money by
eating outside instead of
eating out
When you have your own outdoor kitchen and outdoor dining area why would
you want to go out to a restaurant to eat? Eating out can drain your bank
account, especially if you go out to eat on a regular basis. Every time
you opt to dine at home rather out, you keep dollars in your wallet —
and who can deny the ambiance of the great outdoors?

Outdoor Kitchens worthy of a second helping!
East End Urban Elegance
This property is located just one mile from the heart of downtown Austin.
An area that is alive with renewal, energy and urban vibes. Archadeck
of Austin designed and built an Ipe hardwood deck, versatile outdoor kitchen,
gas-burning outdoor fire pit and one-of-a-kind custom vine wall. Each
element in the design adds functionality and contemporary styling to the
overall project.
Award Winning Outdoor Space in Round Rock
This Round Rock, TX, outdoor living space in Forest Creek received an Archadeck
Design Excellence Award. The project includes a unique deck, pergola and
outdoor kitchen.
To be recognized for this project by Archadeck Outdoor Living at the national
level as an award-winning deck builder means a great deal to the Archadeck
of Austin team. The project was very well thought through, and we had
a lot of fun building it. The structure itself was not complicated, but
we packed in a lot of design considerations and features to make it a
wonderful place for entertaining family and guests. We were able to integrate
the new structure seamlessly with the existing home, which is just what
the homeowners had in mind! You can read more about this project in our

An Austin Outdoor Kitchen BIG on Texas Style
Though this outdoor living project was completed in 2011, it is still one
of our fan favorites. This unique structure boasts an outdoor kitchen,
covered porch and turns the tables on the traditional way a pergola is
used. These structures were integrated into the footprint of the existing
home, which had an existing patio that was very long and had very high
ceilings. We decided to enclose two ends of the patio because of the high
winds that are common in this area.
Archadeck of Austin then built an outdoor kitchen at one end and elevated
the rear bar section of the outdoor kitchen.
The outdoor kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, a built-in sink, gas
grill, side burner, storage and pull-out drawers. We used standard exterior
porcelain tile with a bullnose edge and added a unique backsplash to the
kitchen area. We also used a combination of stone and stucco in the structure
to break up the amount of stonework on the house itself.
The most unique feature of this project is the innovative use of the pergola
which you see hanging from the ceiling…
We used the pergola in a hanging manner to help lower the ceiling in this
massively high structure and make it more conducive to feeling like a
gathering spot and to aid in hanging the lighting features used to add
light to the space. You can read more about this amazing project in our
