One of the strongest testaments to the quality of our work and the way we treat our clients is the amount of repeat business we see. Yes, we are that good, and at Archadeck of Birmingham we treat you like our family.
We love getting calls from old friends saying they have another outdoor project they’d like us to design and build for them. Who are these old friends? Repeat customers! If they want us to come back and design/build another project for them, we must be doing something right.
Such is the case with these Jefferson County homeowners who wanted to give their front porch a facelift. They called Archadeck of Birmingham to do the job because their first project with us had gone so well.
Round 1 Recap: Covered Porch & Deck Combo + Eze-Breeze Outdoor Room
This home is in Jefferson County, AL, just a stone’s throw from the Mountain Brook city limits. Covered porch and deck builder Archadeck of Birmingham added Eze-Breeze windows to the clients’ existing screened porch. We built a deck along the back of the home and covered a good portion of that with an open-gable roof structure.
The homeowners gained an array of outdoor living options: open deck area, covered porch, and an Eze-Breeze porch where they can opt for windows or screens. Materials we used for these backyard outdoor spaces included cedar posts for the covered porch and TimberTech Legacy decking in pecan. Having been there recently, we can tell you this: it still looks brand new!
Round 2: From Open Front Stoop to Covered Front Porch
Pleased with the work we had done on the back of their home, the clients called us again to give their front porch area a makeover. They wanted to add a roof to the landing at the top of the steps leading to their front door. You may sense a theme here—low-maintenance living. In the back they have low-maintenance composite TimberTech decking. In the front, we added low-maintenance aluminum AFCO columns and posts and an all-aluminum rail.
We like the complementary black-and-white color scheme the homeowners chose for their front porch. The columns and trim are white, while the aluminum railing, pickets and posts are black. The V-joint spruce porch ceiling we built for them is painted white, too. These colors create a space that fits in perfectly with the home’s white siding and black shutters. The result is a covered front porch that looks original to the home.
Do you have an outdoor project in mind for your home? Are you looking for a Birmingham, Jefferson County, or Mountain Brook, AL, porch builder? Front porch or back porch, we’ll treat your home like it was our own so you’ll refer your closest friends and family!
