It all started with a builder-grade long and narrow porch, which was placed atop a concrete patio, like many builders construct.
Using the existing space already in place at this Hoover’s Abingdon location, Archadeck of Birmingham improved and upgraded the structure with this transformation:
An additional 8 sturdy and solid 6 x 6 cox posts were added to the existing 3 already in place to shore up the structure.
Two custom baluster doors were added as well as protective screening to transform the original lackluster porch into a new and improved protected screened porch outdoor living space.
As for heightened aesthetics, Archadeck added a white aluminum baluster railing in the knee wall. Notice the baluster design matches that used in the screen doors – this is a hallmark of an Archadeck of Birmingham screened porch.
