There is so much in the wonder of nature to enjoy outdoors it may be somewhat difficult to decide exactly what type of outdoor living space is best for your family.
As your Master outdoor living design expert, Archadeck of Birmingham spends quality time with listening to what kind of space you have been considering. We will help you hone in on what type of structure would be best for you to enjoy your outdoor leisure time.
WHY SETTLE FOR JUST ONE OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE WHEN YOU CAN ENJOY SEVERAL?
Our latest project in Helena focused on the creation of a shaded retreat and open air space for this family. With this in mind, we designed a gable roof porch addition with a side deck to give them a choice of covered or open air outdoor living! But, as we dug deeper into their needs and desires, the project moved to talk of a cozy corner and added amenities.
OUTDOOR LIVING ACCENTS MAKE ARCHADECK OUTDOOR SPACES UNIQUELY WONDERFUL
In a short time, Archadeck of Birmingham had perfected a design that included all the elements the homeowner wanted. Thoughts then turned to what embellishments the family thought would be wise for the long term. Since they eventually would like to add an outdoor kitchen to the space, we built the new deck and porch with this future addition in mind. Part of that preparation included getting the gas lines ran to accommodate that need.
The final design features a corner outdoor fireplace with a gas starter. We integrated a rustic wooden mantel and left plenty of room for the homeowners to hang their TV above.
To keep the new combination outdoor living space easily accessible by all, this new design is only 40 inches off the ground which we consider to be low-to-grade.
And to help this lucky Helena family enjoy this beautiful combination space long into the evening hours, recessed can lighting was incorporated into the design plan along with a ceiling fan, to keep the natural outdoor air circulating for greater comfort when needed. We also integrated the infrared space heaters the client provided so they could use the porch up into the cooler months.
Finishing touches included aluminum balusters surrounding the new deck and porch and solid board skirting below, to keep out unwanted animal friends and add to the rustic appeal of the entire design.
