Speaking of gifts, we are thankful that we had the opportunity to design and build a Birmingham porch and deck upgrade for this wonderful family in Liberty Park in Vestavia, AL.
If you follow our blog – and thank you if you do – you’ll notice that we have been very fortunate in gaining many new outdoor living space clients in this beautiful area of Alabama.
And in the spirit of full disclosure, this stunning creation is without a doubt one of the finest we have ever constructed as the premier Birmingham screened porch builder.
MUCH ADO ABOUT A LOT OF SOMETHING
This outdoor living space transformation tale owes a great debt of gratitude to TimberTech for helping us set the stage for magnificently functional and lovely outdoor living luxury on the second floor.
Yes … the second floor.
This two-tier outdoor living space features a fully-protected overhead structure also known as a “dry deck” space. More importantly, it is the foundation for this incredible two-story outdoor living oasis.
Starting from the top down, notice the magnificently curved crown arch tops that grace the exterior screened wall.
With the architectural frame crafted out of pressure treated wood, our Birmingham TimberTech deck builder team decided to let TimberTech Legacy decking be the star on all the floor and stair surfaces, including the highly accessible side deck.
BUILDING ON OUR REPUTATION FOR A TOTAL OUTDOOR LIVING REFRESH
You would never know by looking at the finished result, but previously this area had existing outdoor space that consisted of a shed roofed porch and a wooden side deck.
The family’s goal was for us to do a total refresh of the space by screening in the porch with custom details and upgrading the deck to make it low maintenance. Hence, TimberTech to the rescue – the ultimate, virtually carefree sustainable outdoor living space material.
For flawless design execution, we also carried the railing design into the screen door. Yes, that’s one of our signature design moves.
To augment the space, in addition to the porch and deck upgrade, we also installed a corner stone ventless gas fireplace. In doing so, we also extended the gas line to accommodate the fireplace, as well as their grill on the side deck.
Notice how the homeowners are also able to utilize the under-porch area for an outdoor living space, too.
