Our newest project in Macon’s Charleston Plantation neighborhood is a true show stopper. Archadeck of Central GA took this backyard space from 0 to 100 with a new, updated deck design, outdoor kitchen and fire pit.
When we met with the Charleston Plantation homeowners, their existing outdoor space consisted of an aging pressure-treated deck and existing covered porch. What they really wanted was a larger space that could accommodate an outdoor kitchen and fire pit. They also wanted the area to flow effortless together and function as one versatile outdoor room.
Backyard space before Archadeck of Central GA began the transformation.
Archadeck of Central GA began this backyard transformation by giving the homeowners the larger deck they craved. We took the deck design a step farther than just a bigger deck, however, we also gave them a larger one that is also low-maintenance. We used Fiberon Good Life decking in the color Bungalow. Fiberon decking requires very little maintenance on the homeowner’s part to keep it looking like new. Since this decking consists of a three-sided cap layer composite, it will resist fading and staining. It also will not splinter, crack or decay and is a breeze to keep clean!
In addition to the spacious synthetic deck, we also installed a breathtaking custom outdoor kitchen built using Dutch-Quality manufactured stone. The profile is so beautiful it rivals the real thing. The outdoor kitchen featured a Pellet grill and a Big Green Egg, making outdoor cooking and dining a pleasure with the abundant space the new deck affords the homeowner for entertaining and al’fresco dinners under the stars.
We also provided the fire pit the homeowner’s wanted. Using the same color combination of the Dutch Quality stone and we added a Bluestone cap around the fire feature’s top perimeter. The results are stunning and promises a cozy place for conversation among family and friends.
Finishing off the space, we used an elegant railing combination of Fortress square, black aluminum pickets balusters in a wooden railing with A Fiberon rail cap. You may also notice we added the same stone veneer to the bottom of the columns on the existing covered porch, too. The mix media of wood, stone and metal elements culminates this backyard transformation.
The clients are elated with their new space and are looking forward to years of enjoyment -- it’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood thanks to Archadeck of Central GA!
