A sunroom is an extension of your home, so you should not skimp on quality when selecting a builder. Here are some of the details that go into our construction process that we believe are important in providing you with a high-quality experience and finished product:
Concrete – All of our sunroom foundations are built using a continuous concrete footing with 3000psi grade concrete, with fiber added to prevent cracking.
Framing Lumber – We use a specialty lumber supplier for all of our framing lumber. Our specs with this supplier are significantly higher than the big box products that others may use. For example, all of our exposed/treated framing lumber is #1 grade ground contact treated lumber. We use this not for its better appearance, but because it is stronger and will hold up better in the long run.
Painting – We have standardized on a high quality of Sherwin Williams paint in their Cashmere line for interior painting – it’s more expensive but we find that it touches up better and the finish stays nice longer. Also we have learned that Sherwin Williams, as our sole provider of paint products, provides us with superior support in areas like paint matching and problem resolution when we come up against something unexpected.
Unmatched matching – We pride ourselves on being able to match the brick on your new sunroom to your existing brick, and likewise with your shingles. While it’s not always possible to be perfect, our end goal is to make the new room look like it was part of your house all along.
Vendor support – Archadeck is small enough to give you personal treatment throughout the design and construction process, but big enough to be important to our vendors. What this means to you is first we have been able, through the years, to establish relationships with a few select high-quality suppliers. That means fewer warehouse or delivery errors, fewer delays and fewer excuses to you, the end customer. Second, we have enough “pull” with our vendors to get their attention whenever we run into questions or problems in the field.
Warranty – Your warranty is only as good as the company that stands behind it. Archadeck is finishing our 16th year in central South Carolina. With the 2nd and 3rd generations of our family having joined the company, we plan to be around for a long time. We provide a 1-year “bumper to bumper” warranty, and a 5-year warranty on structural issues like roof leaks, window and door installations, flashing issues, electrical issues, etc. We invite you to compare our warranty to that of any other builder.
