Porch Contractor in Columbia, SC
Porches serve as ideal protected outdoor living spaces in various areas around your home. A back porch will provide shelter from rain and plenty of shade on those hot Columbia days. An open porch also makes the perfect accompaniment to an open-air outdoor structure like a deck or patio. Deck and porch combinations — and patio and porch combinations — are very popular with local homeowners.
A porch can be designed and built as an attached structure just off the back of your home. Alternatively, your porch can also be designed as a detached structure — in a poolside setting or in another area of the landscape.
Last but certainly not least, an open front porch adds curb appeal and shelter to the front entry of a home. Who doesn’t love the look and feel of a rocking chair front porch? Relaxed, peaceful and classic!
As your premier local porch builder, Archadeck of Central SC wants to ease your burdens. We have put together this page as a way to assist you in your due diligence in finding the best covered porch builder near me. Elgin SC Back Porch
We constructed this back porch in Elgin, SC, with wood framing and fiberglass columns. It features an open gable end with an exposed rafter ceiling.
The homeowners have lived in this home for the last 23 years and they love every aspect of their home. However, they have a heavily-wooded lot that makes it difficult to grow lush turf. With this in mind, they decided to turn all of their back yard into one large outdoor living space. They hired a landscape designer and had all the grass removed and installed gravel walkways and shrubbery beds instead. The back yard now flourishes with evergreens that add vibrancy to the yard for year-round interest. An added benefit to this transformation is that the entire yard is also super low-maintenance with no mowing required. The new porch cover we added for them is the finishing touch to the look and feel they had in mind.

Covered Porch in Wildewood is Part of an Outdoor Living Combination
This all-inclusive outdoor living combination includes a deck, patio with fire pit, outdoor kitchen and covered porch.
The covered porch is conveniently located just off the rear of the home and easily accessible to the home’s interior living areas. It serves as a protected retreat from rain and the glaring sun. The porch features an airy open gable design with a rustic exposed rafter ceiling. The flooring used is a continuation of the beautiful AZEK decking used for the deck and features a parting board for added drama and aesthetics.
