Columbia SC deck designs
The first of these two projects was constructed with pressure-treated wood and stained to the homeowners’ preferred finish. What makes this Columbia deck project unique is that it was built to augment the clients’ existing deck. One great way to increase your deck space is by adding an extension like the one we built here.

Customization for this Columbia SC deck included building the new extension with materials matching the original deck. However, to give the new deck railing an updated look, we used black aluminum pickets and 4” x 4” wood posts. For a cohesive aesthetic, we also installed this updated railing on the existing deck, replacing the original railing there. We also installed custom square lattice to conceal the space below the deck.
Columbia deck expansion project
Our second Columbia SC deck project here also features a pressure-treated wood deck. To extend the use of their back yard, these clients wanted a deck and patio combination – a stamp and stain concrete patio surrounding their deck. We also created a coordinating patio walkway with the same stamp and stain application.

Perhaps what really sets this deck project apart is the 12‘ x 14’ lower landing, which really extends the size and usage of the overall space. The benefit of designing a multi-level deck is not only in the additional space but also in the separation gained between the upper and lower levels. This family can use each level for a different purpose, when they choose. Since the two deck levels and patio are all connected, they also function harmoniously.
