With the chilly Chicagoland weather in full force, upcoming holidays and family gatherings are probably at the forefront of your mind. Warm, sunny afternoons grilling and lounging on your new deck or patio may be a distant thought for you. However, the fall and winter months are the best time of year to plan for your spring outdoor living space. At Archadeck, not only are we building in the colder months, but we’re already planning for spring projects. Still not sure if thinking about your outdoor project this time of year is for you? Check out our top 3 reasons to plan for your outdoor space in the colder months.
1. Avoid price increases
Material prices generally increase in the first part of the year. In 2018 we also anticipate labor costs will increase significantly with high demand for skilled carpenters. Planning your project now will lock in 2017 pricing. At Archadeck we are offering $1000 or 10% off of your project (whichever is greater) when you book your project this November; be sure to mention code WinterWork17. Restrictions apply. Call (847) 250-4100 for details.
2. Your project will be ready to enjoy during warmer months
Planning your outdoor project now and getting on the schedule means that we’ll be ready to build early next year. By building your project at the beginning of next year, you will be able to fully enjoy your new space when the warm weather arrives.
3. Less Interruption
Families typically spend more time inside during colder months. The late spring and summer months tend to come with more outdoor gatherings; having carpenters working that time of year can disrupt time outside and outdoor activities. Carpenters in the backyard in late winter/early spring are less likely to be in your way.
