The open patio that was
This fortress inspired patio design, enclosed in a vertical hardscape wall, had great bones for this backyard upgrade. The patio didn’t lack for space, so we were able to build within the footprint of the existing. These Dublin residents decided that open-air outdoor living is preferred, but they wanted to adorn their new space with shade and replace the patio floor.

These homeowners wished to upgrade their paver patio floor. We used thermal Pennsylvania bluestone for its consistent thickness to create a smooth, level patio floor. We arranged the stone just as we would pavers and created a grout with polyurethane and sand.

We not only replaced the paver patio with sleek new Pennsylvania bluestone, but we extended the patio all the way from the home to the stone wall enclosure. The new flooring will hold furnishings on a level plane, and users will find sure footing throughout the patio expanse.
A covered patio will allow for more hours of use.
This custom patio cover is supported by columns created to perfectly match the existing wall, and new posts, wrapped in low-maintenance Fypon PVC, for low-maintenance. The porch posts and trim will not require annual sanding or painting. A simple spray or wipe once or twice per year will keep the high-contrast white trim gleaming for many years to come.

The gorgeous open gable roof design boasts custom contemporary craftsman trim and will allow light and air to enter the patio without overpowering the cool shade. The ceiling features a cedar tongue and groove finish, outfitted with electrical for recessed lighting and a ceiling fan for even more functionality.
