Do I need an architect to design my deck?

No. Archadeck of Greater Denver’s design team will take care of everything, no matter the type of outdoor space you intend to build. There is never a need to hire an outside design professional ahead of time, as the one-of-a-kind design of your deck is included in our process.

How much will it cost to build my deck or patio?

As Archadeck of Greater Denver is a custom outdoor living design-and-build firm, it is incumbent on us to never guess the cost of a client’s project. The difference between us and other local deck builders is that we begin the building process with a complimentary design consultation. Everything we discuss during that initial meeting will help determine the final cost of your deck roof, patio cover, deck, or patio. This price will depend not only on the type, shape, and size of the project, but also on the finish products you wish to use and amenities you wish to include. You control the cost!

Do I need to obtain a building permit for my project?

While most decks in the Denver area do require permitting, you needn’t lift a finger to obtain your permit. That too, is part of our turnkey design-build process. We’ll cut through all the red tape for you!

When is the best time to build a deck in the Denver area?

There is no better time to build your deck than the moment you decide to move forward with your project. However, there are benefits to contracting and/or building your outdoor living space during the fall and winter. These include short wait times to get your project started; you will be able to enjoy your outdoor space as early as possible in the spring; and your project will not incur price increases that inevitably happen after the first of the year. If you are considering a deck next year, let’s build it this winter!

Will I save money if I build a patio instead of a deck?

In many cases, if not most, our paver patios come in at a lower cost than our decks. However, there are exceptions to this rule and we really could not know until we determine the type of patio or deck you would like to build.

Can you fix my old deck?

Archadeck of Greater Denver and the Foothills takes deck safety very seriously. If a deck is quite aged and nearing the end of its useful life, it really should be torn down and replaced.

Do you offer deck repair at all?

Archadeck of Greater Denver and the Foothills offers a type of deck repair, called redecking. If a deck meets the criteria for this service, we will shore up the structure to ensure it meets or exceeds current building standards; replace your old decking with upgraded composite materials; replace your deck railings; and replace your deck stair.

Can you build a roof over my existing deck or patio?

Because most decks are not built with a future roof in mind, it is unlikely possible to attach a new roof to your deck. However, this is something that we could only answer and offer alternative solutions for if you take advantage of our complimentary design consultation.

Can I finance my deck?

Archadeck of Greater Denver and the Foothills is pleased to offer a 12 months same-as-cash financing option for your project. There is no hit to your credit to apply for pre-qualification and there is no expectation for you to move forward with your project if you become qualified for financing. Our Buy & Build payment program allows you to build the outdoor living space today that you would otherwise still be saving for through the next 12 months!

How do I know how to choose a local deck contractor?

I know I want a covered outdoor space. Should I build a roof of a pergola?

There are advantages to building roofs and pergolas. Archadeck of Greater Denver’s design team can help you understand which might be the better solution for your specific needs. In addition to traditional pergolas, we also offer pergola roofs, which could be a happy medium for you when deciding between a roof or pergola.

Where do I begin designing a deck?

Where, in the Denver area, do you build decks and patios?

Archadeck of Greater Denver and the Foothills designs and builds custom outdoor living spaces throughout the Metro Denver area, including Arvada, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, and beyond. We unfortunately do not build decks in Denver proper.

What kind of patios do you build?

Archadeck of Greater Denver and the Foothills builds high-quality paver patios using Belgard® pavers. The plethora of colors, shapes, and sizes of Belgard’s hardscape products allows us to help our clients have the patio design of their dreams!

Will my deck come with a warranty?

Not only does Archadeck of Greater Denver and the Foothills offer a 1-year workmanship and 5-year structural deck warranty, but you will also be covered by applicable manufacturers’ warranties too. Add to that, every project is covered by our National Guarantee Corporation, ensuring that no matter any unforeseen negative circumstance, it will be built to-specification at the contracted price.

How do I know that my project will be built with quality products?

Archadeck of Greater Denver of the Foothills’ Design Consultants will thoroughly discuss product choices for your project, whether that be a deck, patio, porch, or combination of spaces. We build with only high-quality products – period. This includes TimberTech AZEK® decking products, Trex® decking products, and Belgard hardscape products.

Will a new deck add value to my home?

Building a custom deck can add great value to the way you relax and entertain at home. A properly appointed and built deck can also set your home apart from the rest, should you ever decide to sell!

Should I wait to build my deck with you or choose a deck builder, who can build my deck now?

When you reach out to potential deck contractors, you must choose with great discernment. If a local deck builder says they can begin on your project now or within a few days, there are a couple of issues. The first issue is we must wonder why their construction calendar is open immediately. This could mean they are not currently building projects or have never constructed a project. An empty construction calendar might seem great, but it really is not. Secondly, is that Archadeck of Greater Denver’s design-build process is thorough, which means we will never tell you we can begin building immediately. We must first design your deck and get your approval. Then, we must meet to sign the contract. After that, materials will be ordered and building permits will be applied for. A quality deck takes time and much consideration. But don’t worry – our custom decks are well worth the wait!
