In 2019, TimberTech AZEK announced their new multi-width decking line, creating many new options for custom deck designs. With the successful additions of narrow and wide width decking boards last year, what can we expect for AZEK decks in 2020?
Archadeck of Kansas City has been designing and building beautiful, low-maintenance AZEK decks and porches for many years in the Kansas City market. Last year, TimberTech merged their separate TimberTech and AZEK decking lines to create TimberTech AZEK, their most premium decking offering – on every level. This year, our porch and deck clients have even more options for creating their ideal outdoor living space with the best decking in the industry – with 50-year limited product and fade and stain warranties!
TimberTech AZEK multi-width decking
MAX decking boards are 1/2" thicker than the standard board, perfect for commercial use for docks, decks, and boardwalks. Available in the AZEK Vintage® and Harvest® collections, clients can now choose MAX deck boards, in 1.5" thickness, in one of two finish choices. Vintage MAX boards are available in Coastline , and Harvest MAX boards are available in Slate Gray.
TimberTech began offering wide and narrow decking boards in their premium AZEK Vintage Collection last year. While their capped polymer decking offers many exotic color and wood grain choices, TimberTech has now expanded their wide and narrow boards to two finishes in their AZEK Harvest Collection. These simpler, lighter hues are very popular for decks, which receive full sun, as they absorb less heat than darker finishes. Clients, who are in search of both softer decking colors with a choice to mix-and-match or select a decking board width outside of the standard 5.5", will now be able to choose narrow or wide width decking in either Slate Gray or Brownstone.
For years now, TimberTech has offered hidden fasteners for a cleaner installation. In recent times, their proprietary SIDELoc installation system has grown in popularity. Using their special tool, along with 304 stainless steel pointed screws, decks can be installed more quickly without the need for pre-drilled holes. With a SIDELoc installation, you never have to see visible screws or fasteners on your deck or porch. This year, TimberTech has added a tool extension for wide width decking (7.25") and a narrow decking width guide (3.5"), so multi-width decks can have the same quality, hidden fastener design as traditional width decks.
