When these Spring Hill, TN homeowners told us they wanted a 4-season room with an unobstructed view, we knew Scenix windows would deliver that view. Our clients had just moved into the home, and the only outdoor living space they had was a tiny, wooden deck. Not only was the deck entirely too small, it offered no protection from sun or rain – and no privacy.

Scenix windows offer the most window coverage and least obstruction possible in a 4-season room. The tempered glass windows provide a floor-to-ceiling view without the interruption of a railing. Usually, an elevated porch would require a railing, but these tempered glass windows meet local building codes without it.
A 4-Season Room that Becomes a Screened Porch
The Scenix window system also features retractable screens across a portion of each window, at the top and bottom. When the outside temperature is comfortable, the family can slide the top window down and the bottom window up. As the windows slide to the middle of the space, retractable screens slide in to fill the top and bottom sections of the window openings. Just that easily, this 4-season room can become a screened porch. It’s a space the homeowners can use either as an interior or exterior addition.

This 4-Season Room Adds Privacy Without Sacrificing the View
The new room adds privacy on the sides and still enables the homeowners to enjoy the view. They keep the doors open from the interior of the home to the new porch, which adds 300 square feet of living space. Originally, they had one set of French doors leading out to the old deck. As part of this project, we installed a second set of French doors to create more of an opening between the two rooms. Because it is an insulated room, this 4-season room is as close to a sunroom build as possible without adding HVAC to the space.

Our clients chose low-maintenance AZEK capped polymer porch flooring for the interior porch floor as well as the landings and stairs outside the porch. Our recommendation to invest wisely in a high-quality outdoor living space with Archadeck of Nashville definitely resonated with these homeowners.
