Archadeck of Northeast Dallas-Southlake is the premier choice for all things outdoor living. Among our most requested structures are patios. We build all types of patios, from stain and stamp concrete patios, paver patios, natural stone patios and of course, Travertine patios! Travertine is very popular, and has been for quite some time among Dallas and Southlake area homeowners.
Travertine delivers a touch of elegance to an outdoor living design. Using Travertine for a patio floor helps the area stay cool underfoot even in hot conditions. It also comes in a variety of colors and subtle textures to suit any taste. Travertine is a natural material which is formed by geological processes. It can be found in many parts of the world, from Rome to Peru and even in North America’s Yellowstone Park.
Since Travertine is natural, it is absent of efflorescence. Efflorescence is the white deposit that sometimes occurs on the surface of concrete and some paver projects just after completion.
Our most recent Travertine patio installation in Tarrant County, TX is proof positive of the beauty and benefits choosing Travertine as a material medium for your new patio.
These homeowners are three-time returning clients to Archadeck of Northeast Dallas-Southlake and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with them again! We originally added a concrete area to existing their patio cover, along with an outdoor kitchen, and redid their tongue and groove covered patio ceiling a few years ago. Then last year, we returned to their home and added the spa area connected to their pool. This time around, we replaced the concrete surround of their pool with beautiful Travertine.

For this particular project, Archadeck used a blend of Dark Noce’ and Dark Walnut Travertine. We did a 50/50 mix of the two colors.
The clients wanted an upgrade to their existing pool surround, and Travertine was the perfect choice! Not only will the area look great for many years to come, it will provide a safer area for poolside enjoyment. This is because Travertine doesn’t become slippery when wet like other hardscapes. It is also easy to maintain and is resistant to freeze, thaw and direct sun which causes other patio mediums to fade.

Our Tarrant County, TX return clients made the decision to upgrade to Travertine for their space after seeing a project where we had used it in our project photo galleries. These photo galleries serve as a visual project portfolio for many of our completed outdoor living space projects. They are a valuable source for inspiration and ideas if you are thinking of a new outdoor area or an upgrade to an existing area, as was the case with these clients.
