Archadeck of Northeast Dallas-Southlake are masters at meeting the spatial needs that many neighborhood homeowner’s associations require. This lovely covered patio and custom pathway addition is a fine example of “coloring within the lines”, so to speak.
This project is located in Irving, TX in a charming neighborhood that is overseen by the Las Colinas HOA. Like many of the properties they oversee, there are spatial and material requirements that must be met in order to keep the outdoor living space and home remodeling specifications in line with their regulations.
The homeowners contacted Archadeck of Northeast Dallas-Southlake to upgrade and extend their builder-grade back yard patio in order to enjoy this area to its full potential. Before we began the project, the area encompassed a small walk-out patio. With only space enough for two rocking chairs, and not nearly enough room to stay dry in the event it rained.
Our Solution: A Custom Covered Patio
Area before Archadeck of NE Dallas-Southlake added the covered patio and custom path.
After -- Archadeck designed and added an elegant shed roof patio cover.
On the exterior of the new covered patio space we used a Hardie board finish with a standing seam metal roof overhead. We extended the roof for a 2-foot overhang in order to stay compliant with the HOA. Finishing the space off with new gutters which match the color of the Hardie Board siding allows them to blend in and disappear with the exterior.
On the interior of the covered patio we extended the existing patio and added a new area using stain and stamp concrete. We used our popular wooden deck stamp with charcoal gray stain featuring gray with a charcoal release.
Of course, we also added all the creature comforts to enhance enjoyment of the space including recessed can lighting and a ceiling fan for comfort.
Custom Hardscape Path Adds Another Layer to The Design
The project also includes a 58-foot custom walkway leading from the patio to the front of the home as well as the garage. The walkway was designed using concrete pads stained gray, and is placed in black rock for contrast and to increase the WOW-factor of the path.
As you can see from the images, the quality and attention to detail of this project gives it that “always been there appeal” that we are so famous for. One of the benefits of choosing Archadeck for your outdoor living space project is how we strive to make your addition appear original to your home. Designing and building with originality in mind may seem simple enough, however, in order to do so takes a great deal of experience, knowledge, expertise and thoughtful consideration. This is not only the case from an aesthetic perspective but is also important in the structural components that make up your addition.
A successful project ends with a quality structure that harmonizes with all the elements of your home and landscape. Contact Archadeck of NE Dallas-Southlake today to learn more!
