Dallas Outdoor Living Oasis Goes Iced Platinum Thanks To Archadeck Of Northeast Dallas-Southlake!
In the recording industry, there are measurable levels of success. These marks of honor are bestowed on work of artists and are named after the precious metals of gold and platinum. Gold being grand, and platinum being the most coveted! Archadeck of Northeast Dallas- Southlake recently completed a poolside outdoor living project in Dallas that gives a new meaning to going platinum. When we met with these Dallas homeowners, the had an existing pool house and covered patio on the back of their home. Although the space they had was quite lovely, they longed for more. They longed for not only an updated poolside area, but one that offered varied function. Archadeck was able to come up with a custom design that spoke to all their needs and desires!

Updated Covered Patio and Pool Surround!
The first order of business was to demo’ the existing patio to make way for the new travertine patio. During the demolition we noted that the posts of the existing patio cover had begun to rot, this discovery called for a full replacement of the posts. Archadeck then installed the stunning patio. We used breathtaking platinum iced travertine. In addition to the floor of the patio cover, we also installed the travertine around the pool surround, in the floor of the covered pergola and as a pathway. Its use gives the new design a contemporary look that also brightens the whole backyard. Just laying eyes on this space makes your heart beat a little faster.
The beauty and resiliency of a natural Travertine patio makes it a perfect choice for any outdoor environment. With rich tones and inherent shade variations its use adds warmth and elegance to any setting.
Covered Pergola Full of Amenities!
We also removed the existing pool house and created a versatile, multi-use area under the spacious cedar pergola. Here, you will see a custom outdoor fireplace and outdoor kitchen. We topped the pergola with a polygala polycarbonate cover to keep the area dry and add heightened shade.
The outdoor fireplace was built using stucco and includes a cedar mantel and a spacious custom seating wall built with brick, on either side. The brick and stucco were painted in Benjamin Moore’s Edgecomb Gray.
The outdoor kitchen makes poolside entertaining a breeze with a grill, warming drawers, fridge and convenient trash receptacle built right in. The kitchen base is built using the same brick as that used on the seating walls of the fireplace. For the kitchen countertops, we used Lueders stone as well as on caps of the seating wall. Overhead festival lights and a ceiling fan complete the space for the utmost comfort on hot summer days, and nights!
For privacy, Archadeck of Northeast Dallas-Southlake installed a Japanese cedar board-on-board fence with cedar trim and a cedar along with an electric gate around the perimeter. The fence is stained in Super Cedar Dark from Texas Wood Products in Plano and Sherwin Williams Woodscapes solid stain in Tiki Hut.
Last but not least, we also updated the front entry area of the home, stay tuned for updated imagery of that part of the project.
The homeowners are very pleased with the completed project and are looking forward to many years of enjoyment in their new, updated space. Archadeck of Northeast Dallas-Southlake can now add this poolside oasis to our list of greatest hits!
