Turning Limited Backyard Space Into Wide Open Outdoor Living Luxury
In the beginning, there was a small and simple concrete pad to the right rear of this Forney brick home.

The beauty of this challenge was the vista well beyond the rear property line. It is absolutely gorgeous with a sea of Mother Nature’s finest textures, colors, and sounds. Shamefully, what the family had before we got there gave them little chance to enjoy the view – as well as outdoor living opportunities.

Our design team drafted a plan that would bump out their existing space with a 12-foot 4-inch by 20-foot patio, covered with a stunning Gable Roof.

The farthest point heading toward that vista now houses an incredible outdoor kitchen. With this unique design employing charcoal counter tops, we used multicolored chopped stone on the base.
The built out new patio was created using brushed concrete, both for aesthetic interest and ease of maintenance. The use of the cedar columns proved to be a strong signature of the refreshed design.
Likewise, the beautiful tongue and groove ceiling interior boasted the glory of real wood with a dark walnut stain.
The blend of wood and stone does a terrific job to create a rustic, romantic feel, which sets this backyard far apart from others in the area.
