As most of us know, having a busy schedule is tough and can put a strain on finding time to relax. In order to save on travel time, our Bedford, NS clients made the decision not to buy a cottage and wanted to build the backyard of their dreams instead!
Their wish list was large, but Archadeck was up for the challenge: a new deck, pool, pool house, lounge area, hot tub and cooking area were to be included
The deck itself is made of a composite; this will hold up best around the pool and in the Nova Scotia climate. Not having to worry about splinters was an added bonus for bare feet!
The deck railing, pool house and stairs are constructed of Western Red Cedar. The pool house contains a bathroom and changing room so there is no need to go inside.
The family loves to entertain, which can often lead into the nighttime, lighting was incorporated into the stairs and railing around the pool for safety and aesthetics.
For cooler nights and, well, even colder Canadian winter days, the hot tub was installed to bring the family outside when they would typically be indoors.
The dining and grilling area is right off the house, making easy work of prepping food and setting the table. We installed an outdoor sink and prep space so the chef in the family can enjoy the outdoors too!
