When we received a call from these lovely North Greensboro homeowners to design a new front porch for their home, we were elated. We have worked with these homeowners previously when we built a room addition for them about 5 years ago. Having repeat customers means so much to us. This family lives in the Summerfield community and has recently been working to update their home. Part of the update included the wish to update and improve their existing porch, which they referred to as “stuck in the 70’s”. They wanted to give it a fresh, updated look.

When we met with the homeowners during our design consultation they conveyed their wish for a front porch which was inviting and made a statement. Another important factor for the new porch was using low maintenance materials. The existing front porch consisted of 4 × 4 wooden columns and a traditional wooden picket rail which was rotting. Since we have an established relationship with these homeowners, this helped us set forth on designing a new front porch that would deliver all of these elements and more. Many times, updating or adding a new front porch can boost your home’s curb appeal dramatically. A project such as this can also completely change the look and feel of your entrance for both you and your guests.
This new Greensboro front porch design adds much curb appeal
Our initial design comprised many of the elements the homeowners were looking for, but in addition, the homeowners did their homework and forwarded pictures to us of what they hand in mind. The final porch design features stunning 10 inch fiberglass columns, which really make a statement on the front of the home. The arches between the stately columns are also built from low-maintenance PVC which will never rot or decay. We used black AZEK Premier railing which was chosen for its size and lifetime warranty.
