Imagine finding your dream home but it is slightly run down at the heels, neglected, and unloved for some time.
The house sits on a beautiful piece of farmland. Finally, when all the contracts are signed and the key is in your hand, now it is time to get to work and restore this home to an even greater beauty. The home’s interior is something you can tackle with the aid of a few tradesmen, but the outside living space is totally weathered and seems ready to collapse. That’s where Archadeck of the Piedmont-Triad comes into the picture.
This NC farmhouse is ready for some TLC
Why is hiring a specialized outdoor living design and build firm important?
This backyard project needed more than a facelift. It needs professional guidance and help. This is where Archadeck of the Piedmont-Triad excels. During our outdoor living design consultation, we learned the must-haves and wishes of the family. The homeowners have fabulous views of their sweeping property. They certainly wanted to capitalize on the view and achieve maximum outdoor living space at the same time. They also are interested in low-maintenance particularly since the back of the home faces south.
Eze-Breeze windows create a multi-season outdoor room
These homeowners wished to sit outside during all four seasons and enjoy that view. They chose to add an Eze-Breeze window room with an open gable roof allowing the light to stream into the room. The ceiling is a tongue and groove beaded plywood. The floor is also a stained tongue and groove pine flooring. Railing is needed in the room by building code since the room is so high off the ground. The deck is redecked with AZEK decking for low maintenance. An addition of powder coated aluminum railings in black for the two sets of stairs that offers quick access to the pasture and side yard. This Eze-Breeze porch faces south and will get sun all day long. A ceiling fan will bring in cool air during the summer months when the room becomes a screen porch. This truly is a multi-purpose outdoor living space for all seasons.
A total backyard revitalization with a winning combination, Eze-Breeze and AZEK.
The final finished project gives the homeowners all they wished for and more. Now a room exists where the rundown pergola was plus the homeowners can use it as a sun porch in the colder months and a screen porch in the hot months of summer. A generous sized deck allows for a dining, entertaining space. Two sets of stairs lead them down to their backyard or into a pasture for a walk about the lovely pastures.
